Mixed reality developer

Summary:

Head-mounted  augmented reality is a unique tool for medical applications by providing  the medical caregiver with the ability to access information, view  important anatomy and connect to third parties hands-free while caring  for the patient. At Nakamir we are developing the next generation augmented reality tools for medics and first responders. We  are looking for computer vision engineers and mixed reality developers  who are interested to join us and shape the application from an early  stage. If you are experienced with C# and/or C++ and UWP  applications, deeply understand computer vision and 2D-3D projections  and love solving challenging problems on mobile head-mounted devices, it  would be great to hear from you!

Key qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience writing efficient, readable and reusable code using either Unity, C#, C++
  • Good  knowledge of computer vision including camera projections in 3D space,  projective geometry and using existing computer vision toolboxes such as  OpenCV, ARToolkit, Realsense SDK
  • 3+ years experience with training and running models in TF, Keras, onnx, ideally also outside python/Matlab eg. using WinML
  • Experience with UWP application development (since we are developing on the Hololens 2)

  • Excellent  software engineering skills including source control, unit testing,  debugging, documentation, continuous integration & build trains
  • Independent work ethics – We are a small team, so you need to be able to reach your goals without constant supervision
  • Perseverance  – There are many roadblocks during Hololens 2 development due to the  novelty of the field and the lack of libraries, so perseverance to  overcome these on your own is a must.
  • Enthusiasm for mixed  reality – We are at the early stage of development and it will be a few  years out till medics will be able to use the actual product. Enthusiasm  for mixed reality makes the time until then much more enjoyable for you  and us.

  • Create mixed reality software solutions that aids medics during training and procedures
  • Write patents and papers about your work and present it at relevant conferences
  • Create and lead project teams to develop software features
  • Closely work with medics and clinicians to test current iterations of the product

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Considerable stock options, you are shaping the company from an early stage so we want you to be invested in it
